Being the huge planner that I am, I've already gotten a jump start on my baby registry and have begun brainstorming baby girl's nursery. Besides the fact that we're no where near ready to start decorating for her (currently living with in-laws while we figure our lives out and get jobs) but I still can't help browsing Pinterest and thinking about what she'll wear and what her room will look like. So. I decided in order to keep myself busy and pretend like I'm not wasting all my time looking at baby things I should throw together a nursery inspiration board of a color scheme I'm really loving these days: coral, mint blue, gold, with white and gray accents and see how it looks all meshed together.
Some of my favorite pieces:Crib (1) - I am loving the all white and open cribs these days. Seriously, even though that crib is pretty expensive, it would be my dreeeeam to put my sleeping baby girl in there. Classy, elegant, simple, modern. It's perfection.
Hanging Light (4) - So adorable and modern. I've seen this piece in about three different nurseries on Pinterest and every time I think how cute and perfect it is for a little girls room.
Sign (8) - This just holds sentimental value since it's a quote from one of my favorite childhood books, Love You Forever. Although I'm not a huge fan of the colors, I think if the background was in a mint blue and the writing was in a coral (or even a coral background with white lettering) it would be the perfect addition to my make-believe nursery.
Quilt (9) - Okay. Crib bedding is sooo expensive! I can't believe a set is like $300+ dollars online (at least all the cute ones I like are). So today my mother-in-law and I decided we're going to make our own bedding, maybe a mint blue skirt, and some sort of coral and white polka dot bumper pad. Then I'll probably throw in some white sheets from Target. But, one thing I really want is a cute mismatched quilt that goes with the color theme. Something that can one day be on her toddler bed and keep her warm during the winter. From the moment I saw the quilt above on Etsy I fell in love, it's perfection. Sure it's a little pricy, but I don't know if it's possible to find anything cuter. So maybe when the time comes if I can't find a better deal I might just have to splurge and get it.
