One year ago I laid awake in bed with two of my greatest friends that were dead asleep as I thought about what my life would be like in 24 hours. I literally didn't get 5 minutes of sleep the whole night.
Plus, you can tell by our video that we are both extremely quirky, it's like we were made for each other.
With that said, Josh and I celebrated our one year anniversary this Saturday. It was glorious. I woke him up with lots of kisses, he surprised me with breakfast (german pancakes), we drove to Idaho Falls and went shopping, then splurged by staying the night at the Marriott (the room was literally bigger and nicer than our apartment), went swimming, jumped on our massive and fluffy bed, cuddled, ate at Olive Garden (their white chocolate raspberry cheesecake.omg). Basically it was the most perfect weekend and I loved every second of it.
On to our anniversary video!
I understand now why so many people are afraid of marriage. Because it's really hard. You can't make decision on your own. Suddenly two people are spending money from one bank account. I watched as my entire life savings went to his dental school applications. But golly, marriage is worth every sacrifice and disagreement and hurt feelings. Anyone who doesn't want to get married is seriosuly missing out in my opinion. I've never grown so much or loved as deeply as I have than after I got married. It creates this unbreakable union that is breathtakingly perfect and surreal.
I feel like Josh and I were made to love each other. He's my Joshy, my hubs, my most favorite person in the world. He giggles at my jokes, eats all my dinners-even if they're crap, takes me to the animal shelter to hold kittens, bring me a sweater while I'm at work because it's freeeezing, listens to my life ambitions as I change them every month or so, is patient with me when I'm being impatient...again.
Even though I went through some hard times, and he did too, I'm sooo thankful that our paths crossed. That I went to BYU-Hawaii and met a girl who was dating a guy who set us up on a date.
I can't imagine one day of not having Josh in my life, because he makes it so much brighter and happier and light hearted than it's ever been. To my dearest Joshy, I'll love you forever and I'll love you for always.
