He's totally boss.
The cherry on top of my ice cream.
My lover. My best friend.
The first time I saw him, I thought he was a hunk of meat. He could have be the dumbest person in this entire world and I wouldn't have cared because he was dang sexy.
Seriously though. Most men aren't as attractive as this fellow.
Then I found out he was insanely funny. So funny that on our second date I was laughing so hard I accidentally tooted in front of him. (I mean, girls don't do that!) One of my more embarrassing moments. At least we got that awkward stuff out of the way real quick.
Then I realized he was a genius when he got the highest grades in all of his hard science classes out of a couple hundred students: Biology, Anatomy and Physiology etc.
And I thought daaaaang I need to marry this boy to add some great genes into this pool.
So I did.
Then he took the DAT (dental admissions test) on Wednesday, (which is an insanely hard test- I used to think the ACT was hard, nope.). He scored in the 98.7th percentile, scoring in the 99.7th percentile in the Biology section and the 99.3rd percentile in Organic Chemistry. And I thought, I'm the luckiest girl.
This guy has always been so patient, even when I'm an emotional train wreck with tears guzzling down my face and mascara dripping on his clothes. (okay, it only happened once. or twice.)
He tells me he loves me every day.
He hugs me just because.
He tells me I'm beautiful and means in.
He stays up until 3 AM studying so he can get into dental school to support our family.
He takes out the trash the first time I ask.
He scratches my back when I have a bad dream until I fall back asleep.
He takes pictures of me for my blog even in hazardous conditions. And always makes the time for it.
He's so smart, so perfect in every way. And I'm blown away by how lucky I got. That I really did marry the perfect guy for me. Someone who accepts my flaws, and someone whose quirky habits I find so endearing.
So people. Don't ever settle. Because we all deserve to feel like we're marrying someone better than us. And that we're the lucky ones.
Here's to Josh, for always trying his hardest in every aspect of life. Because he deserves a shout out every now and then.
