What a weekend it was!
Driving through snow storms, getting the car stuck, shopping like crazy, seeing family, and getting lost-overall it was an absolute blast and definitely recharged the batteries so we could make it through this semester! It even gave me the energy I needed to stay up WAY past my bedtime and write a massive paper. Oh the joys of procrastination when you're an English major...
The epitome of our weekend
SnowOf course, the weekend we decide to road trip it up happens to be the first weekend in a month that it snows. And not just a casual, light snow. No, no, a torrential downpour of atmospheric waste getting dumped onto the freeway.
Holy cow. It was terrifying. No one else was on the freeway, and our little camry was trudgin through, making its own tracks. Joshers was stomping on the gas pedal, and we were barely snailin by. I was afraid our car would get stuck right there in the middle of the freeway.
The scariest part was getting off our exit and trying to make it up the 45 degree angled hill to our hotel. Car got stuck. Josh and I were rocking it back and forth trying to make it get traction. After sliding, flooring it, saying mucho prayers, the car finally busted into gear and barely got us to the hotel. I've never loved an inanimate object so much in my entire life.
Walking up a hill in a blizzard, with only a blazer on, and high heels wouldn't have been the cherry on top of my day.
Forever 21 was the first store we went to, we browsed, got a couple things, a girl with fire red hair checked us out, then we went to other stores.
A couple hours later Josh starts thinking about some clothes he saw there, and regrets not getting them. So we go back-for the second time. When we went to pay for everything the same girl with firey hair checked us out. Embarrassing.
A couple more hours pass and I couldn't get these boots I saw out of my mind.
So we went back for the third time.
We made sure to check out on a different floor. But guess what. As we were waiting in line, that same girl came and we just so happened to be helped by her again.
She remembered us, and even asked if we'd like to put our stuff in the other bags we got or if we wanted a new one. Mortifying.
Lately people keep telling me I look like Emma Stone. Turns out she's my doppelganger. I'll take it!
While Josh and I were shopping on Saturday this girl at Zumiez said I looked so familiar to her, then she realized it was because I looked identical to Emma Stone. Now I wouldn't say we're identical, but it was still flattering. I don't know guys, what do you think?
The GPS on my phone kept going bizerk. Right in the middle of directions my phone would shut off, we'd have to pull over as it lazily turned back on again, and finally loaded the navigation app.
This one time in particular my phone restarted itself, and when it turned back on nothing worked. So I had to turn it off again. And again. And again. Meanwhile Josh starts laughing and pointing over by my window. And this is what I saw...
A random dog, slyly spying on us-not making any sounds. No barking. No whining. Just staring, ever so quietly, and creepily. Ohmygoodness. I busted out laughing, don't know why but this was crazy entertaining. A little peepin doggy. Gosh, I died.
We also had a blast hanging with Josh's family. And as always, it was so great seeing his sister Aubrey. Love her.
I feel so blessed to have such a great hubs, and crazy awesome in-laws who are a complete riot of fun.

Ignore the incredible bags under my eyes. So. Sleepy. Needs. To. Go. To. Bed. Asap!
