Make A Statement

This post is about picking something to be bold about. Whether your fashion statement is a necklace, cardigan, shoes, pants, or shirt, it's always important to wear something that sticks out. If your whole outfit consists of tan, beige, black, and white, well-that's just not as exciting. Try to add some red lipstick or a clutch. Basically, anything to make you stand out.

Example: An outfit I wore to work today which shows that you can be trendy even in the office.

With this outfit I focused on my lips and the necklace to make a bold statement.

Beige polka dot cardigan: Target
White Button-up Shirt: Hollister
Red Necklace: Forever 21
Khaki Skirt: Ross
White High Heels (which you can't really see): American Eagle

Now a quick funny story about being bold.

So, Josh always loves to draw attention to us in public places. For example, when he drops me off at work and a Miley Cyrus song comes on the radio he'll turn it up suuuper loud as soon as I open the door.
Even though it's really funny, I always get super embarrassed and get out as fast as I can.

Anyways, I decided to get even the other day...

I was driving to school to pick him up and the song "Lollipop" by Lil Wayne came on, this is probably THE first time I've ever heard this song be played in Idaho.

Well I got the idea of blasting the song and rolling down all the windows while Josh walked to the car. As I'm sitting there in the parking lot all of these people walk by with questionable looks on their faces and I'm just waiting, and waiting, and....waiting for Josh to get there.

Fast forward: the whole song went by and Josh never came....

EPIC FAIL.

Are you kidding me?! The one song that could embarrass him and the only thing that came out of it was my ego plummeting!

Moral of the post: even though being bold in clothes is great, I guess in social situations it isn't alllways the best. Next time though, next time.
